This is All That’s Left of Me
Cyanotype on Fabric, Mixedmedia Sculptural Canvases
46” x 62”
This is All That’s Left of Me is a sculptural exploration of identity and consciousness that considers the passage of time. Through cyanotype photograms adhered to sculptural canvases, I aim to challenge conventional perceptions of art, blurring the boundaries between two and three-dimensional forms. The distorted figures depicted on the canvases reflect the complexities of human identity, shaped by our experiences and external influences. As viewers engage with the bulbous forms and distorted perspectives of the sculptures, they are invited to contemplate the evolving nature of identity and the forces that shape it. Ultimately, This is All That’s Left of Me serves as a catalyst for connection, fostering a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. With this artwork, I aim to create an experience that encourages viewers to confront their own perceptions of identity and the passage of time, inviting them to contemplate the transient nature of existence and find solace in our shared humanity.
